Homeowners in Western Maryland who want to learn about solar energy are invited to attend a workshop at the Washington County Agricultural Education Center on July 11.

“Understanding Solar and Wind Energy for the Farm, Home, or Small Business” is presented by University of Maryland Extension and Hagerstown Community College. Student interns from Hagerstown Community College have collected data on the costs, incentives and electricity generation capacity of residential and small business wind and solar installations in Western Maryland.
